History
In 1978, Curtis Bordley was baptized in Jesus name and was filled with the Holy Ghost. God stripped him of everything that was precious to him, his family, home , clothes and money. God set him in the wilderness to prepare him for such a time as this. In 1982 he was called to the ministry under the leadership of the late Bishop Henry and Mother Henry as she was affectionately called. Three years later, he was asked to pastor Jesus Love Temple. Under his leadership, God moved with a strong hand and the saints were blessed. In 1991, Elder Bordley still seeking the mind of God, moved out from Jesus Love Temple and started a work in Dover, DE., which is known today as The Greater Love Temple Church. We thank God for small beginnings. Services were held in various homes, conference rooms of the Holiday Inn, Emmanuel Apostolic Church, The Annex on New Street and 16 North Queen St. In 1998, God continued to bless and we purchased land in Little Heaven, DE, also in that same year, the late Bishop James Gandy Sr., founder of Jerusalem Pentecostal Church in Egg Harbor City, NJ., ordained our pastor the Honorable Bishop Curtis I. Bordley. God said that it wasn't good for man to live alone, so he made him a helpmeet. In 1999. Bishop Bordley found his helpmeet and on Sept. 9,2000 Bishop and Sister Loise were joined in Holy Matrimony. The two are now working to do the will of God. She has been a blessing to the ministry and has a heart of a pastor's wife. She is a mother, a counselor and a true friend. God is a faithful God! He opens doors that we cannot see and beckons us to walk therein. The scriptures teaches us to acknowledge him in all our ways and He will direct our path. We thank God for our pastor being obedient to the voice of God and for moving in a timely manner. While we have been working toward building a sanctuary, God opened the door to an existing sanctuary. On Jan. 4,2004 we entered therein. We praise God for his goodness and his mercy and because of him we continue until this day.......
